Financial Information: Understanding Our Policies and Services

Welcome to the Financial Information page of the New England Center for Pelvic Health. We are committed to providing transparent and comprehensive financial policies for our patients seeking treatment for endometriosis, pelvic, and sexual health. Our goal is to ensure that you have a clear understanding of our billing practices, insurance coverage, and payment options. We believe in empowering our patients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their healthcare and financial responsibilities.

No Show Policy

We maintain a no-show policy to ensure the efficient use of our resources. Patients who miss appointments without prior notification may be subject to a fee. This policy helps us provide timely care to all our patients and ensure that patients can be seen without any further or unnecessary delay of diagnosis or treatment.

Telemedicine Policy

We offer telemedicine services, allowing patients to consult with our specialists remotely. This convenient option ensures continued care access from the comfort of your home or any other location.

Record Review

At your request, we will review your medical records. This enables us to assess your case in advance and determine if we can offer solutions. A fee ($200) is charged for reviewing medical records before your first visit.  This fee will be deducted from the cost of your first visit.

Client Billing for Lab Studies

We offer “client billing” for lab studies, which allows patients to receive necessary tests at significantly discounted rates. This service ensures affordability and accessibility to critical diagnostic tools.

In-House Ultrasound Imaging

Our clinic is equipped with in-house ultrasound imaging, providing convenient and immediate access to essential diagnostic services.

Understanding Our Insurance Policy

Why We Don’t Accept Insurance

In the current healthcare landscape, many innovative and comprehensive therapy options need to be adequately covered by insurance. At NECPH, we’ve experienced firsthand how relying on insurance can limit our ability to provide the care and attention that our patients need and deserve. Our experience working as in-network with multiple third-party payers was that insurance payments were insufficient and delayed.  This significantly hindered our capacity to allocate the necessary time and resources for our patients, especially for complex cases like pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, and endometriosis.

Prioritizing Quality of Care

Faced with a critical choice, we decided against accepting commercial insurance, as it would compromise the quality of our care. Our commitment is to offer top-tier resources and personalized attention. The best care should not be hindered by limitations/costs imposed by insurance companies.

Investing in Your Health and Well-being

We stand by the principle that the most costly treatment is the one that doesn’t work. Chronic pain, often accompanied by depression, requires more than just standard treatments. Taking control of your healthcare financing is empowering, leading to significant improvements in your life. Our approach is designed to help you reduce medication dependency, resume daily activities, and enhance your overall well-being.

Financial Assistance and Support

We understand that managing healthcare costs can be challenging. Our dedicated staff is here to assist you in exploring financial options. We offer help with securing third-party funding, creating superbills for out-of-network reimbursement, handling prior authorizations, and more. Our goal is to make high-quality care accessible to you, ensuring you receive the attention and treatment you need.
