Dr. Romeo Augusto Lucas is a board-certified gynecologist and founder of the New England Center for Pelvic Health in Freeport, Maine, where he focuses on comprehensive, patient-centered care for pelvic pain and endometriosis. His approach combines evidence-based medicine, minimally invasive surgical, and manual therapies tailored to each patient’s unique symptoms and goals.
Dr. Lucas has extensive experience in robotic surgery for benign gynecology, having performed over 500 procedures since 2013, and serves as a proctor for the DaVinci robotic surgery platform. He also holds a focused practice designation in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
In addition to his medical training, Dr. Lucas holds doctorate degrees in both Osteopathy and Chiropractic, bringing a unique, multidisciplinary perspective to treating pelvic and spinal conditions. He continues to advance his expertise through specialized training in neuropelveology and sexual medicine, offering advanced diagnostic and treatment options for complex pelvic conditions.
Dr. Lucas is licensed in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont, is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, and serves as clinical faculty for regional medical education programs, contributing to the training of future physicians.
